About Quilt Keepsake

Quilt Keepsake began as an annual gift for all of Janell's children (3) and grandchildren (10). Each year one lucky person was fortunate to receive a quilt. Over the years Janell's work began to transform to include keepsake and memory items when she incorporated items from family and friends who had passed on. It evolved with artifacts from lifetime events cherished memories. Memory quilts became a way to display articles of clothing - including t-shirts, jeans, sweatshirts, and baby clothes. Custom wall hangings and pillows came onto the scene when Janell was the commissioned artist to create works in her local courthouse. She made the county seal and emblem into a wall hanging for all to admire. She has created quilts for fundraisers and auctions as her talent has been discovered.
